Job Summary and Requirements
 
The General Manager is responsible for the overall financial performance, guest experience, team leadership, administrative management, and marketing for The NOW Massage in Atlanta.  
 
The GM oversees operations of the business to deliver against defined revenue and profitability goals, reporting to the regional consulting managing director, and ultimately the local owners. The GM is responsible for fully leading all aspects of operations and local marketing. They are responsible for recruitment, team performance management, guest engagement and all other actions supporting business growth.
 
This General Manager must be metrics/KPI driven, have a drive for achieving sales goals, be detail-oriented, and have experience managing high volume businesses ($1M+ annual revenue, 20+ team members). Metrics that will be the focus for the GM and the business are a) new guest counts driven by local marketing activations, b) guest conversion to memberships, c) guest satisfaction scores, d) therapist recruitment and scheduled hours and e) employee retention and engagement. Additionally, demonstrated and strong communication and project management skills is essential for success in this role. 
 
The GM must have an ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment with strong skills in day-to-day operations, team leadership, listening, communication and multitasking is required. Passion and enthusiasm in the wellness space, and past experience managing a spa/fitness/wellness lifestyle brand and/or working in a franchise environment is preferred.  You must have experience working in a booking/property management/spa management or point-of-sales system, with past Zenoti experience preferred. 
 
As the operations leader, you must be willing and able to be on-call as “Manager on Duty” at all times in which the business in operating, and instill a culture where your supervisors recognize their accountability to be on call when you are away. Last but not least, you must think of yourself as a team leader and someone who enjoys mentoring people and bringing an incredible culture to life every day at The NOW! 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
·       Lead all day-to-day operations including team of approximately 20-25, including massage therapists and front desk (Experience guide) members. 
·       Develop and manage all schedules, operations processes and inventory
·       Create and communicate daily tasks and goals for all team members; Identify and delegate actions to supervisors. 
·       Analyze and action performance metrics from Zenoti (our POS) and all flash and system performance reports, including revenue, collections, utilization and sales metrics. Compare and create action plans based on insights gained 
·       Develop clear goals and lead team in goal achievement and performance improvement for non-achievement (membership sales conversion, upsells, total revenue, rebooking, guest review collection, etc.) 
·       Review monthly budget provided by ownership and lead team daily to meet or exceed revenue, operations cost and utilization budgets.
·       Be able to perform, with a high level of excellence, all duties and responsibilities as required of the Experience Guide (Front Desk) team, including proactive product/memberships sales and folio management, reporting and invoicing in our point of sales system, Zenoti. 
·       Inform, coach, train and manage team on job responsibilities, performance expectations, guest service standards, and corporate policies and guidelines. Complete informal coaching and on-the-job training activities, and formal training sessions, performance and compensation reviews. 
·       Lead local marketing efforts to drive new guests and retain existing guests including local social influencers, social channels, business partnerships/activations, engagement with residential and office complexes and pop-up events.
·       Amplify brand social posts locally and take action to drive local guest engagement through phone outreach, email, and texting. Work closely with owners and other local marketing agencies, and NOW corporate marketing team on managing local influencers and local promotions. 
·       Lead team recruitment, including management of postings, interviewing, follow-up and hiring. This includes Massage Therapist recruitment efforts with local schools, conducting massage therapy practical, management of contractor resources and ongoing performance reviews.
·       Lead efforts to solicit positive reviews, respond to reviews and engage guests to share their experience through social channels. Respond and engage with guests to manage complaints, while actioning improvements needed for the future. 
·       Develop meeting structures and agendas for staff team meetings and business updates with consulting managing director / owners.  
·       Maintain an atmosphere of cooperative teamwork that emphasizes guest service, team member engagement and our brand culture. 
·       Properly document and deliver appropriate corrective action as needed when team members are not performing to standards and/or are in violation of guidelines and policies. 
·       Check boutique equipment to ensure proper functioning. Direct facility maintenance and repair.
·       Inventory products and order new supplies. 
·       Monitor operations to ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, or hygiene standards. 
·       Perform accounting and finance duties, such as setting goals, reviewing daily/weekly revenue reports, closing open invoices, following up on receivables due, managing credit card chargebacks and pulling performance reports.
·       Monitor and prepare payroll for Experience Guides and Massage Therapists in coordination with the franchise owner. 
·       Verify team credentials, such as educational and certification requirements ensuring all remain current. 
 
 
Pay and Benefits:
 
The General Manager position is compensated with a combination of salary plus monthly and quarterly performance bonuses tied to goals on various metrics. All full-time team members receive access to dental and vision insurance and 401(k), a generous PTO plan, and complimentary massages. 
 
Base salary $67,500+ based on experience, with total compensation inclusive of bonuses for achieving goals at up to $85,000.

Compensation: $67,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year
