  • This is a full time position, with minimum of 35 hours scheduled per week
Job Summary
The Lead Massage Therapist is responsible for the leadership and mentoring of the Massage Therapy team and assisting the Management in facility needs. Includes same responsibilities as Massage Therapist job summary leading by example. The Lead MT will be responsible for the onboarding and maintaining of brand standards through service flow and protocol, coaching MTs, and assisting with scheduling, goal setting, guest experience, and recovery. This is a commission-based position in which compensation is paid per completed service appointment. A reduced hourly rate is provided for training, meetings, and approved administrative duties. Below is a list of essential job duties, but as this is a leadership position, flexibility, and adaptability will be necessary as additional responsibilities will undoubtedly arise.

Responsibilities 
  • Core Responsibilities: Perform all essential Massage Therapist duties and maintain excellent attendance and exemplary service standards. 
  • Brand Ambassador: Represent The NOW with inspiring professionalism and a commitment to an inclusive and wellness driven workplace
  • Leadership Support: Assist management with boutique operations and serve as a liaison between Massage Therapists and the Leadership Team.
  • Staffing & Scheduling: Manage time-off requests, provide shift coverage, forecast hiring needs, and participate in candidate interviews.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct monthly inventories of linen and equipment to ensure operational readiness and plan replacements.
  • Training & Development: Provide orientations, lead service training for new Massage Therapists, provide ongoing training to Massage Therapists to ensure performance goals are met. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Leadership Team by sharing feedback and suggestions for ongoing improvements.
  • Team Morale & Culture: Promote a positive and uplifting work environment by supporting team morale and fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain calm, professional conduct; avoid gossip, conflicts, or behaviors that negatively impact team morale or guest experience.
  • Boutique Cleanliness & Room Readiness: Ensure all rooms are clean, organized, and maintained to The NOW’s brand standards. Report any equipment, supply, or facility issues to Management promptly.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a lead and/or trainer Massage Therapist or 3+ years of massage therapist experience
  • Strong communication and coaching skills 
  • License/certification required in state of Texas. Must present a license during the interview process and maintain an active massage therapy license throughout employment if hired.
  • Knowledge of Swedish, Deep Tissue Massage, Prenatal, Gliding Cupping, Hot Stones, and other modalities.
  • Ability to handle conflict resolution calmly and effectively
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to model company standards at all times
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and brand education
  • Ability to consistently maintain full-time status by meeting the requirement of at least 35 scheduled hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
