This role offers significant professional growth opportunities, including potential advancement to Regional Lead Massage Therapist as we expand across the Bay Area.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Therapeutic Excellence & Service Delivery

Deliver transformative massage experiences using multiple modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Sports, and Stretching Techniques
Maintain mastery-level proficiency in all The NOW massage offerings and enhancements
Demonstrate confidence and applied knowledge in therapeutic techniques
Maintain service rooms to the highest standards with all supplies provided

Team Leadership & Development

Mentor, train, and provide ongoing performance feedback to massage therapists
Offer both praise and corrective coaching to support therapist growth and development
Support therapist hiring process by conducting skills-based interviews
Lead comprehensive onboarding programs for new therapists
Complete and maintain The NOW training certifications (both in-person and online)

Support guest satisfaction and retention initiatives through team excellence
Understand and communicate business metrics to motivate therapists
Set clear performance goals that align with boutique success
Travel to The NOW corporate headquarters in Los Angeles annually for continued leadership training and development

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

California Massage License in good standing; active participation in The NOW Lead Therapist training program
Minimum 5+ years massage experience; previous experience in a lead or training role preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, coach constructively, and elevate team performance
Excellent guest service skills and professional communication abilities
Operational and organizational strengths

Schedule & Availability

Availability to work peak hours, weekends, and provide team coverage as needed
Flexibility for leadership responsibilities and team development activities
